The Gurkha Centre was delighted to attend the “How to Mo:Mo!” cultural cooking event held on 8 April 2026 at Palungo Nepali Restaurant, London, organised by a group of talented international (Nepali) students studying Hospitality and Management at the University of East London.

The event brought together members of the community for an enjoyable and interactive afternoon celebrating one of Nepal’s most beloved dishes. From first-time folders to seasoned momo enthusiasts, participants embraced the opportunity to learn how to prepare authentic Nepali momo while sharing laughter, stories, and a common appreciation for Nepali culture and cuisine.

Hosted by the team at Palungo Nepali Restaurant, the event created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that highlighted the power of food in bringing people together and fostering a sense of belonging and community.

What made the occasion particularly special was the generosity shown by the organisers and attendees. Funds raised through this initiative were donated to The Gurkha Centre, helping us continue our work supporting Gurkha veterans, widows, wives, and families across the United Kingdom.
